SUPER MAJORITY / ROUND 001

SUPER MAJORITY

NOTHING IS CONFIRMED UNTIL TWO THIRDS OF THE STAKE AGREE.

An experiment in quorum, stake-weighted voting, and the stubborn arithmetic of agreement.

SECTION 01 — THE THESIS

A SIMPLE MAJORITY IS A COIN FLIP WITH EXTRA STEPS.

On the internet, whoever posts most seems to win. Consensus protocols are stricter. They do not count voices, they count stake, and they do not stop at half. They wait for a margin wide enough that two opposite outcomes cannot both reach it. Until then, the honest answer is “not yet”.

1/2 < 2/3 < DONE
SECTION 02 — INTERACTIVE SIMULATOR

SET THE STAKE. CAST THE VOTES.

Stake decides, not the number of validators. Adjust validator stakes and votes below to calculate round status in real-time.

Validator Stake (Weight) Vote Status Stake Share

* These are numbers you typed. They are not Solana's validators, and nothing here is live network data. Exact integer arithmetic is enforced: 3 × YES > 2 × TOTAL.
SECTION 03 — CONSENSUS RESEARCH

THE THRESHOLD IS NOT A MOOD.

01 — THE THIRD

Fault Tolerance

Assume less than one third of the stake may lie, cheat, or disappear entirely from the network.

02 — THE OVERLAP

Quorum Intersection

Any two supermajorities (> 2/3) are mathematically guaranteed to share more than one third of the total stake.

03 — THE LOCK

Safety Guarantee

Honest stake sits in both supermajorities, and honest stake does not vote twice for conflicting blocks.

> 2/3 ∩ > 2/3 = > 1/3

What the Supermajority Does Not Guarantee

Validity & Moral Good: A supermajority shows that enough stake agreed; it does not show that the block is good, fair or true to anything outside the chain.
Liveness Guarantees: It does not promise progress. If one third or more of the stake is offline or refuses to participate, nothing confirms.
Byzantine Bounds: Its safety argument fails completely if one third or more of the stake is actively dishonest or compromised.
Plurality of Persons: It measures stake weight, not headcount. A single large entity with sufficient stake can constitute a quorum.
SECTION 04 — CLI TALLY

STILL COUNTING.

$ majority tally --round 001
----------------------------------------
stake voted: 66.66%
required: > 66.66%
status: pending
----------------------------------------

> so we are basically there?
no.

> it is one vote.
it is always one vote.

* Fictional mockup. Not real CLI tools or live network outputs.

SECTION 05 — MANIFESTO

RULES OF THE ROUND.

  • 01. Half is an opinion.
  • 02. Weight is counted, not volume.
  • 03. A third can stop anything.
  • 04. Almost confirmed is not confirmed.
  • 05. Wait for two thirds.
SECTION 06 — THE ARTIFACT

SUPER MAJORITY / $MAJORITY

Super Majority is a community-driven Solana meme coin inspired by quorum and the supermajority rule in consensus. The token is the cultural artifact. The threshold is the story.

Disclaimer: Super Majority is a meme coin and community experiment. It provides no product, no staking, no governance or voting rights and no guarantee of future utility. The token is speculative and may lose all its value.
SECTION 07 — NARRATIVE PHASES

THE PROGRESSION OF STAKE.

0%

The Proposal

Someone says it out loud into the network noise.

34%

The Third

Enough stake to stop it, not enough to finish it.

67%

The Supermajority

The threshold line is crossed, once and for all.

100%

Unknown

Nobody has ever seen everyone on the internet agree.

FINAL TALLY

ADD YOUR WEIGHT.

NOTHING IS CONFIRMED UNTIL TWO THIRDS OF THE STAKE AGREE.

Wait for two thirds.
